Anna Maria Stańczyk Biography
International renowned concert pianist Anna Maria Stańczyk celebrates 40 years on the concert stage.

Anna Maria was awarded two Platinum Discs for her 24 Classic Hits by Polskie Nagrania Edition Cd. And Anna Maria Stańczyk plays Liszt Cd. by Polskie Nagrania.

After graduation from the Academy of Music in Warsaw where she studied with Jan Ekier and Bronislawa Kawala, Anna Maria came to London to continue her musical experiences and to further her concert career. In London Anna Maria studies with Louis Kentner, with whom she performed concerts for two pianos.

She played her debut in the Wigmore Hall, which followed other performances on the South Bank London, Van Lear Hal, Jerusalem, Odessa, Bangkok, a tour in Newfoundland, Toronto, Minneapolis, and Carnegie Recital Hall New York, and many concerts in Europe.

In the early 1980's Anna Maria created the Archway Trust  providing young pianists with the opportunity to take part in a master class and arranging opportunities for them to play in the community.

In addition to her concerts career, 24 years ago she was co-founder and became
artistic director of the Powsin International Piano Festival, Warsaw, Poland,

Three years ago Anna Maria was awarded with a Doctorate Honoris Causa by Puno University, London.
